What You'll Need to Open a Peoples Bank Account Online

• Date of birth*

• Cell phone number
• Email address

*Prospective depositors must be of legal age to apply for a deposit account.

To apply for a new account online, you will be required to fund your new account electronically by providing the account and routing numbers from your current checking account. This information can be found at the bottom of a check from that account.

NOTE: After you have completed the online application you will receive an "Application Acknowledgement" via e-mail, advising of the receipt of your application by email. Account opening documents are normally sent electronically to the email address provided in your application. An authorization code will be sent via SMS message to the cell phone number provided as an added measure of security (text and data rates may apply.) In the event documents cannot be delivered electronically, they will be sent via U.S. Mail.

Once we receive all necessary documents, are able to verify your information, and are able to process your opening deposit, we will open your account. We will then contact you by e-mail to confirm that your account is open and active.
